The Yezidis or Yazidis, are ethno-religious minority thoroughly concentrated around the northern Iraq region. The growth of fanatical Islam, specially with the birth of ISIS, led to the persecution of the Yazidis upto an extent where the adherents had to forsake mount Sinjar,the Kabba equivalent of Yazidis and become refuges in their own homeland. Succinctly the Fanatical islamists had destroyed most of their places of worship and had forced the entire community into exile. It is noteworthy here that, the Yazidi culture exhibits a strong affinity and certain similarities with Indic cultures.
